The estate, 265 hectares among woods, vines and olive trees, enjoys a mild microclimate, the ideal condition for wine production: the hectares under vineyards are currently 105, with a major presence of the king of the Tuscan vines, Sangiovese, intended mainly for the production of Chianti Classico, and even international varieties, such as Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Chardonnay, used for IGT Toscana wines
Discover moreTusany is the heart and soul of winemaking in Italy. The ancient Chianti Classico lands which are blessed with a mild microclimate and beautiful landscape and are ideal for winegrowing. The vineyards, which grow in soils containing either clay, calcreous marl, blush marl, tuff, sandstone or sand, are planted in the hilly areas to the left of the Arbia river.
Discover moreVintage: A fairly cool spring was followed by a hot and long summer but with good temperature fluctuations between day and night (minimum temperatures were always contained in both July and August) allowing optimal completion of the grape ripening process. Also worth noting is the absence of water stress thanks to rains in June and September.
Harvest: Last decade of September, selection of grapes coming from Casuccio vineyard; 5.5 tons of yield per hectare.
Aging: In barriques for 16 months approximately
Bottle aging: 8-10 months
Longevity: Over 10 years
