About Vecchio Magazine Doganalle "dopolavore"

  • Vecchio Magazine Doganalle

Facts. From the pages of his diary. London 1888
I went to London to conduct a market survey on liquors. After all, I was hoping to confront the British distiller masters, who enjoyed a centenary culture in terms of whiskey and gin distillation. I was also looking for excellent venues where to propose my product, with an advantage that not all other imported distillates had, the Anglo-Saxon name: Jefferson. I also wanted to bring a pleasant change, in those places where bitters were little well-known. Jefferson was immediately recognized by all as a liquor of remarkable quality, as to be nicknamed by some London bartenders as “Better Bitter”.

Product Details

It is said that friendship and love are eternal, but for this magic to endure, it must always be nurtured by small gestures and little attentions; the flame must always be fed! That’s why, at the Vecchio Magazzino Doganale, the “Dopolavoro” has been created, a true drinking experience, perfect for moments of togetherness with the people we love, a liqueur that embodies the true tradition of Italian style in a modern way.

A shining dark bronze color with hints of copper, it envelops the nose with aromas of medicinal herbs, dark spices, and notes of citrus such as bergamot and tamarind. All of this suggests a bitter taste with character, which is also revealed on the palate—powerful, sumptuous, and extremely rich in numerous citrus zest undertones.
